Since it’s beginning, FOLK has rebuilt the eroding burn wall, the missing bridge parapet, built steps for easy access to burial ground, repaired gate pillars and renewed the gates.
Due to lead theft and vandalism, we have had to replace the lead on the roof, repair damaged door and lock and renew down pipes.
FOLK is a Scottish registered charity who are supported by membership fees, fundraising activities and donations. All of the funds are for the maintenance and repairs of the kirk and it’s environs.
Scottish Charity No. SC 023836
Loudoun Kirk Preservation Trust (LKPT) was registered as a Scottish Charity as a means of preserving the remains of Loudoun Kirk.
The kirk was in a private family trust which was unable to raise funds for necessary repairs and transferring ownership to LKPT enabled access to public funding through Historic Scotland and The Heritage Lottery Fund. The trustees are made up of family member and members of The Friends of Loudoun Kirk.
